Our Dear Friends,
We are grateful to our God for giving us yet another year at Northrise University. We are determined to press on for the upward call God has for us. At Northrise, we believe that education is not just about receiving a degree; it is about each of us gaining knowledge which will be used to benefit not only us but those around us in this life and the one to come. No wonder our motto is “Being Excellent at What is Good” because we know that godly knowledge changes people from living a life of mediocrity to a higher and better standard.
Many wonderful things are planned for this upcoming school year. At the school, we are planning to begin a Center of Distance Learning. If all goes according to plan, we will be launching a degree in Education and introducing a new Faculty of Education, mid-way through the year. We have added three new professors in Law and IT to our team and hired three new staff members, all of whom are Northrise graduates. We hope to expand the college by recruiting 150 new students, as well as recruiting a Faculty Head for the School of Theology, School of Social Work and the School of Law. On the farm, Lord willing, we will add 26 cows to our herd and commission another water reservoir, to increase our productivity. We are thankful to God for the abundance He has already given and we look to Him as we move forward. Our greatest desire this year is to see many of us grow in the Lord. We would like to build a culture of faith at NU among our senior leaders that may permeate our university. To this effect, we will be doing a study on Building A Culture of Faith. It is our hope that we may create a culture of faith by studying God’s word and serving one another.
Finally, this year marks ten years of operation for our school! Hallelujah! Celebrations will be in order during this year with all the people God has used to accomplish His vision for Zambia up to this point. We greatly look forward to celebrating the goodness of our God with our friends here at home in Zambia and all around the world.
Shalom,
